Liber Meus is an interactive fiction game rated Mature (18+).

The story is written by an AI narrator responding to what you type, so no two games are the same and no story is written in advance. This page sets out what the game will and will not write or draw, and how those limits are enforced.

1. Rating

Liber Meus is rated Mature (18+). This is a self-applied rating on the scale the video game industry uses, equivalent to an ESRB M or PEGI 18 title. The game has not been submitted to a ratings board.

The content descriptors that apply:

  • Violence
  • Blood and Gore
  • Intense Themes
  • Strong Language
  • Use of Alcohol and Drugs
  • Sexual Themes

In plain terms: this is fiction for grown-ups, in the tradition of historical tragedy, sword and sorcery, horror, and crime. Combat and its consequences are described directly rather than glossed over, and the narrator does not break off to moralize about characters who behave badly.

2. Where the narrator stops

  • The narrator is instructed not to depict sex. Attraction and romance can be part of a story; sexually explicit scenes are not. Where a story reaches such a moment, the narrator is instructed to pass over it — the scene closes, time moves forward, or you are given the moment before and the moment after.
  • The narrator is instructed not to depict sexual violence. It may exist in the background of a story and be referred to as something that happened, in the way a novel may refer to it. The narrator is instructed not to narrate it as it occurs.

3. What is never written

These limits are absolute. They cannot be unlocked, argued around, or changed by anything you write in your prompt, your custom world description, or your character description:

  • Any sexual or eroticized content involving anyone under 18, child or teenager, or any character described or implied as childlike — regardless of any age stated for that character anywhere in the story or its setup
  • Any sexual content involving a real, identifiable living person
  • Functional real-world instructions for making drugs, poisons, or explosives. Invented alchemy and fantasy smithing are fine; working chemistry is not.

4. Pictures

The game can draw a portrait of your hero, and — if you switch them on — a picture of the place you are standing in and a portrait of each character you meet there. All of them follow the same Mature (18+) rating, with the line drawn more tightly than in the story:

  • No nudity and no sexually explicit imagery. A hero described as naked is drawn minimally clothed, and sexual wording is toned down before anything is drawn. Where a place is written around bare bodies, the place is drawn and the bodies are left out of it.
  • Revealing clothing, restraints, blood and wounds can appear as the description of a hero or a character has them, and a place can be as grim as the story has made it.
  • No picture is drawn of a hero or character under 18 described in a sexualized way, or of a real, identifiable person — nor of a place staged around either.
  • A picture of a place is a picture of the place. Anyone the story names is left out of it entirely, and a crowd is drawn only as small distant figures without faces. A character is drawn on their own, from what the story says they look like, and what they are doing at that moment is left out.

Neither your description nor the game's own description of a place or a character is sent to the image model as written. An AI model first rewrites it into a short visual description, applying these limits, and the image model applies its own content filter on top. When no picture can be drawn, the game tells you so, and the attempt does not count against your monthly allowance.

5. How this is enforced

The limits above are written into the instructions given to the AI narrator on every request that generates story content — each turn, every opening scene, and every world, character, or scene the game invents. They are applied after your world and character descriptions are loaded, and the narrator is instructed that nothing in those descriptions can override them.

Where a request steers toward section 3, the narrator does not stop the game or lecture you. It continues the story so that the forbidden element does not happen.

Text you write when setting up or editing a game is also screened automatically for sexual content involving minors before it is used. A submission that fails the screen is refused. The actions you type during play are scored the same way but not refused. Repeated attempts within 30 days suspend the account automatically; if you believe a suspension is a mistake, write to the address in section 7 and a person will review it.

Your games are private to your account. Liber Meus has no publishing, sharing, or community feature, so nothing you generate is shown to other players. Individual outputs are not reviewed by a person as a matter of routine.

6. Your responsibilities

You must be 18 or older to use Liber Meus. You agree not to use the service to attempt to generate anything listed in section 3, and not to work around the limits described here. Accounts used for these attempts may be suspended or terminated, as set out in our Terms of Service.

7. Reporting a problem

If the game produced something you believe falls under section 3, or a picture that breaks the limits in section 4, please report it. Email android.witek@gmail.com with the date and approximate time and what happened. You do not need to include the text or image itself. We respond to reports of prohibited content within 5 working days, and treat them as the highest priority of anything in this inbox.

8. Changes

We may update this policy as the game changes. Material changes will be noted by updating the date at the top of this page.
