Terms of Service

Last updated: August 25, 2026

1. About the Service

Liber Meus is an interactive fiction game that uses artificial intelligence to generate narrative content. The service is provided by Witold Klimczak, an individual based in Poland.

The game is rated Mature (17+), the same rating a mature video game carries. What the narrator will and will not write is set out in our Content Policy.

The service is under active development. Features, availability, and content may change without notice.

2. Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to use Liber Meus. The game is rated Mature (17+), and our Content Policy sets out the content limits that apply. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

3. Account and Access

You sign in using your Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account. Each Google account corresponds to one Liber Meus account.

Access to the service is provided through a token system. Tokens are consumed when the AI generates content. New accounts receive a one-time starter allocation to help you set up your first world and hero. After that, your token balance is refreshed every hour up to a default allocation.

Tokens are an internal measure of usage, not a currency. They have no monetary value, cannot be transferred between accounts, cannot be exchanged or redeemed for money, and are not sold individually. A paid Premium subscription (section 4) grants a larger allocation and a faster refill, but it does not buy tokens as such and gives no ownership of them.

4. Premium Subscriptions

Liber Meus offers an optional paid Premium subscription. Premium raises your token allocation and refills it automatically while you play, so you do not have to wait for the hourly renewal.

Payments and merchant of record. Payments are handled by Paddle.com Market Ltd, acting as the merchant of record. When you subscribe, the payment transaction is concluded with Paddle, and Paddle's buyer terms apply to it. Paddle is responsible for billing, invoicing, and any applicable VAT or sales tax. We never receive or store your card details.

Price and renewal. The current price is shown on the Premium page before you subscribe. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period at the price then in effect, until you cancel. You will be notified in advance of any price change.

Cancellation. You may cancel at any time from your profile page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for: Premium stays active until that date and you are not charged again.

Right to cancel. Because Paddle is the merchant of record, Paddle's buyer terms apply to your purchase and give you the right to cancel and receive a full refund within 14 days of your payment. There are no exceptions and no conditions, and you do not need to give a reason. We do not ask you to waive that right, and nothing in these Terms limits or qualifies it. Refunding a payment ends Premium access for the period it covered. Your other statutory consumer rights are unaffected. Refunds are requested from Paddle — see the Refund Policy page.

Fair use. Premium is intended for personal play by one person. It is not an unlimited or unmetered plan: tokens refill up to a set allocation at intervals, which is ample for normal play but remains bounded. Automated, scripted, or shared use is not covered and may lead to suspension under section 6.

If the service is discontinued. If we discontinue Premium or the service as a whole during a period you have already paid for, we will cancel your subscription and refund the unused part of that period through Paddle.

These billing terms are also set out on their own Refund Policy page.

Deleting your account. Deleting your account cancels an active subscription immediately and ends Premium access at that moment, including any paid time remaining in the current period. It does not affect your right to a refund: if you are still within the periods described above, you can request one afterwards through Paddle or from us. If you want to use the time you have paid for, cancel the subscription first and delete the account at the end of the period.

5. AI-Generated Content

All narrative content in the game is generated by third-party AI models (including DeepSeek and OpenAI). This content is:

  • Fictional — it does not represent facts, real people, or real events
  • Bounded, but not individually reviewed — content limits are enforced on every request that generates story content, as described in our Content Policy. Individual outputs are not read or approved by a person.
  • Not endorsed — the views or scenarios depicted do not reflect the views of the operator

AI-generated content may contain errors, inconsistencies, or mature themes. Use your own judgment. What the narrator will and will not write is set out in full in the Content Policy.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service to attempt to generate any content prohibited by our Content Policy, or attempt to circumvent the content limits described there
  • Attempt to exploit the token system (e.g., creating multiple accounts to farm tokens)
  • Use automated tools to interact with the service (bots, scrapers, etc.)
  • Attempt to extract, reverse-engineer, or abuse the AI prompts or system instructions
  • Interfere with the operation of the service or its infrastructure

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the service, you acknowledge that your in-game actions are sent to third-party AI providers for content generation.

8. Availability and Changes

The service is provided on an "as is" basis. We do not guarantee uptime, data preservation, or continuity of service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time without notice. Where you have paid for a subscription period, this is subject to the refund commitment in section 4.

Game progress, saves, and account data may be lost due to updates, bugs, or infrastructure changes.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

  • The service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied
  • The operator is not liable for any AI-generated content or its effects
  • The operator is not liable for data loss, service interruptions, or any indirect damages arising from use of the service

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits your mandatory statutory rights as a consumer under Polish law, including your rights in respect of paid digital content and services, or liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your profile page; doing so also cancels any active Premium subscription, as described in section 4. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Poland. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Poland. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be noted by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
